Consumer Protection Act-2019 has come into effect from 20-07-2020. Pursuant to which the State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission is functioning at Ahmedabad. The decision is made by a president, who is sitting or retired High Court judge with the help of two members as decided by law. The Commission is working for speedy disposal of consumer cases in a legal way. The Cases of Consumer Disputes involving value of goods and services Above Rs.50 lakhs and up to Rs.2.00 Crores are filed at the State Commission.Apart from that, an appeal can be filed with the State Commission against the decision given by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions.
