Consumer Protection Act-2019 has come into force from 20-07-2020. Pursuant to which the District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commissions are functioning. At present 38 district commissions are functioning. Five District Commissions are clubbed with near by Districts: - 1.Gir Somanath with Junagadh 2.Mahisagar with Godhara 3.Dang with Valsad 4.Narmada with Bharuch and 5. Aravalli with Sabarkantha. The Commission is working for speedy disposal of consumer cases in a legal way. Cases of Consumer Disputes involving value of goods and services up to Rs.50 lakhs are filed at the State Commission.
